Turn, Turn, Turn (With Apologies to Pete Seger)

What are you turning? Is it 40, 50, 60, 70, 80? Every decade has its demarcation. Every time a zero comes up and smacks us in the face, we begin to think more seriously about our lives. I just had one of those zero birthdays last year, and it did set me thinking about my life.

Because I expected to live a long life (my mother lasted to a hundred), I have had the pleasure of exploring my options in a somewhat leisurely fashion. As a result, I know quite a lot about what I like and don’t like, where I do and don’t want to live or visit, how I want to spend my time, and those kinds of things, because I tried a lot of them.

The time came when I had to choose the next leg of the journey. And so I have. I have written the early part of my story in my book called Never Too Late to Bloom: Becoming the Woman You Were Meant to Be. The book also contains a description of the moment I realized my ultimate purpose on this earth, and a prescription that will help other women on a similar quest.

I’m curious. Have you had a moment when you knew what you were meant to do, be or become? It may be a story of turning or of awakening. I’d love to read about it. Please share your story below.
