You Can Change the World

Two days ago I wrote about the power you have to make a difference. What if you could change the world? What if you knew you could not fail?

It’s not that the great leaders throughout history knew they could not fail. They didn’t know that. What they did know is that they would not allow failure to stop them. They would fall and get back up, fail and try again. They had that gleam in their eyes, the eye of the tiger hunting its prey. They were aware of their own power. They owned their power.

That is the difference between the ordinary person and the great person. Perhaps it’s not the only difference. I will not argue that point. Marianne Williamson in her seminal book A Return to Love, states, “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.”

It is that power of which I write. Every single person on our planet has the power to change the world. Will everyone use it? No, sadly many have been so crippled by circumstances and their own conditioned thoughts that they are simply unwilling to exercise their power.

It is within you—perhaps untapped or unrecognized, but it is there. You can change the world. Will you meditate on that?

I’d love to know your thoughts.
